Program

The main theme will be Systems Thinking for Innovation, reflecting the ever increasing importance of systemic approaches and its methodological considerations to the dynamic complex real-world problems. The conference will bring together diverse perspectives on the application of systems thinking and system dynamics to important issues, and the practical use of systemic approaches to address critical real-world challenges. The program will consist of invited and contributed sessions demonstrating the theory and application of systems thinking and system dynamics. A small sampling of topics to be addressed includes, but not restricted to:

• Systems Thinking and Innovations
• Education Systems and Challenges
• Regional, national, and global economic dynamics
• Environmental and ecological challenges
• Agent-based and evolutionary modeling
• Industry evolution: interactions of competition and organizational capabilities
• Corporate strategy, organizational change and improvement in business and beyond
• Health care, Education, and other public policy applications
• Dynamics of information systems
• Advances in the modeling process and group model building
• Teaching systems concepts and dynamics in the K-12 grades, universities, and beyond
• Many others

Submissions

Papers may be submitted through email by May 17, 2021 to the email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Submissions should be 5-10 pages in length, and must be in sufficient detail for the referees to judge their meaning and value. All works submitted will be assigned for double blind review. The results, with the oversight of the conference committee, will determine whether a work will be accepted.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent by May 24, 2021. Authors retain the copyright to all submitted work and, by submitting, grant permission for inclusion in the proceedings, either in printed or electronic forms.

Each paper must have a designated presenter. Due to scheduling demands, designated presenters not registered by June 10, 2021 will have their papers automatically removed from the schedule. All attendees, whether presenting or not, must register for the conference.

Submission Format

Preliminary and final submissions must be received in .pdf or .doc format. At the time of submission of each work, please prepare your manuscript following the specified format. 

Proceedings

To reduce the carbon footprints, there will be no printed conference proceedings. All accepted works will be published on the Conference Web Proceedings after the conference. Full works of presentations provided will be included in the web proceedings.
